On-Page SEO Factors Technical Points – An Overview [Part 1]
If you are trying to start a project that needs some activities that make it popular globally over the web then the first that must strike your mind should be SEO i.e. Search Engine Optimization and the second that needs focus is type of SEO first to be done. The first thing that would help you a lot is On-Page optimization as starting point. It is very initial and important step that would tell the search engines that NOW I AM HERE. I have also faced that problems while started SEO for my website but I achieved what I want. Let me share some of the problems and some action that should be taken in order to do On-Page SEO for a website.

Technical skills for TITLE TAG:
The title of the website is the first thing that the search engines are looking for. The aim of title tag is to differentiate a page from other page and provide a unique identity to a page which describes the summary of the page content as whole. So it must consider while choosing title for a page:
- Title should be unique
- Title describes the page content efficiently
- Title should include keywords relevant to page
- Length should be 60 to 70 characters
Syntax for Title tag:
<Title>Desired Title Statement<Title>
Try to use most popular keyword in the beginning of the title statement that must give you additional benefits.
Technical skills for META TAGS:
Meta tag includes meta description and meta keywords. According to me, meta keywords are less important than meta description as we can easy test when we search on Google for any keyword then the result contains meta description and title rather than meta keywords. But don’t ignore anything in SEO so if we talk about meta description then
Meta description describes what story your page wants to define i.e. a short summary about the whole page.
And if we focus on Meta Keywords then:
Meta keywords are the words that describe the theme of your page or you can say one word summary for you page. These are helpful to tell the search engines about the incoming search terms for readers.
Meta description plays a different role and some precaution should be taken here
- Meta description should contains keywords appropriately
- Length of meta description should be less than 160 characters
According to search engines, story of meta description say that you can write meta description of any length but the search engines accepts and consider only upto 160 characters and the other is gone waste. So be precise while writing the same and includes most of the keywords that describes the complete content within 150-160 characters.
Precaution while writing Meta keywords:
- Use comma to separate keywords
- Don’t use punctuation beyond commas
- Don’t use phrases again and again
- Use targeted keywords

<meta name=”description” content=”Desired Content”>
Syntax for Meta Keywords:
<meta name=”keywords” content=”Desired list of keywords”>
