Technology nowadays is continuing to advance and with the near release of the new Google Glass, an important question arises just how far has technology come? Speculation is continuing to grow over the rumors that the new Google Glass could be launched in the late 2013, with mixed reviews, comments and a high level of curiosity being given to this advanced piece of wearable technology that has taken the technology world by storm. Read on this article to discover more information about this cutting edge technology which has the potential of making the life a lot easier for its users.

So What Is Google Glass?

Google Glass is a wearable computer designed to imitate eye glasses, with a head mounted display (HMD) including a camera, a microphone and a tiny refractive screen which captures the wearers vision. Some of its main functions include taking photos and videos, conducting internet searches, sending messages and emails, translation, and navigation all with the use of simple voice or touch controls whilst on the go. The principle is actually quite simple, with the aim of attempting to steer away from hand held devices and desktop computers, placing information and data right in front of your eyes and allowing the wearer to access and conduct searches on the Web hands free. The screen itself has been designed cleverly enough so it’s not obstructing the wearers view, although, according to some trusted sources, Google is currently looking for collaboration partners in eye wear industry to improve their specs, so follow closely twitter feeds of big eyewear companies like Luxottica and Google of course to be up-to-date about any developments.

Main Functions

Photo and Video

One of the main functions of the Google Glass is the ability to take photos or videos without having to fumble around in your handbag or pockets, often missing the chance of capturing a great moment. Google Glass allows its wears to take photos just by saying ‘OK Glass, take a photo’. This can really benefit many different people who will be able now to capture images and make videos of things and places around just as they see them.

Translation

Real time language translation is another great benefit of the Google Glass which will allow wearers to translate different work documents, sign posts and menus along with the theoretical ability to translate the spoken language, which will effectively eliminate language barriers when two wearers of the glasses are speaking to each other in different languages. This is truly compelling and one of the most exciting aspects for users that tend to travel a lot or do business abroad.

The Negative Aspects

Most of the negative comments and the main reasons for concern about the new Google Glass are related to privacy and copyrights. Not only will everyone around you be able to listen to every search or message you make, but also all captured information is going to be sent directly to a cloud and stored. Many are also concerned about the possibility of getting their Google Glasses hacked.

Will Google Glass be the technological breakthrough of 2013? Only time will show, as for right now, we just have to sit tight and wait till Google Glass is released to the mass market, which according to the official information will happen by the end of this year.

I think that the company Blackberry has realized about the lack of apps that are most popular among the smartphones users. This is the reason Blackberry announced on Wednesday about the plans to fill this gap between their gadgets and the users in the market. New BlackBerry 10 devices become the place where the company target the support for the apps and also revealed that they are currently engaged in long-awaited Skype application in Blackberry.

We all know what Skype is and also what it can do. Skype is a product from Microsoft and allow users to use it in order to communicate via voice, video or chat over the Internet. Millions of smartphones users are using the services from Skype across the globe.

This announcement comes in news after the successful announcement of new Q10 smartphone to be available in Canada on 1st May & United States before the end of May. It is also cleared that the latest handset Q10 will already equipped with the Skype services from the day of launch. But the users of existing Z10 handset will have to wait for a week longer than users of Q10 n order to enjoy the service from Skype.

Well this will be a good news to all Blackberry lovers.

Twitter is on the way of Google and shows their strict modes of security. It is expected that Twitter is currently working on adding two-step authentication to their services which ensure the users a secured ways of tweets. After the hacking of the highest-profile, there is some news that Twitter speed up the process and would introduced the feature soon. A number of hacked profiles followed by the hack of the Associated Press’ (AP) account made it mandatory to take this step.

The feature of Two steps authentication make it difficult for the hacker to get hack the accounts of the users and gain access to all the authorities which is far better that only applying password. Before that Google has applied this feature to their user’s account and feels very effective by a number of users.

In this feature if anyone or even you try to log into your account by entering password then it sends an auto generated code to your device which you have to connect previously with our account and then you have to enter that code into your screen. In short, accessing your account requires your password as well as the auto generated code from your registered device.

Earlier this year, Twitter also blogged some of the precaution that every user has to put maintaining an account which are as follows:

Use a strong password.

Watch out for suspicious links, and always make sure you’re on Twitter.com before you enter your login information.

Don’t give your username and password out to unknown third parties, especially those promising to get you followers or make you money.

Make sure your computer and operating system is up to date with the most recent patches, upgrades, and anti-virus software.

All the people who are interested in chatting with their buddies and also looks for the best tool that makes it more comfortable now has some reason to feel better. There is something new to the Android users as the social giant added a new version in the Facebook messenger for its Android Messenger app. The update which drives the app’s version up to 2.4.3 makes it to focus at making Stickers faster to access.

It is the effect of the new version updates so that user can able to hit the Sticker button right next to the location toggle in the Messenger’s chat text field. The company also claims to fix some other bugs also which are available in the previous one. The place where you can find and download the new Facebook Android App is Google Play.

Now the question in our mind why we use the term Sticker and what it denotes to?

Stickers are none other than emoticons on steroids which are same as we can find them on other application especially in chats applications. Stickers can be used to display what you feel for the time being but in much more funny ways at the moment when you are engaged in chats with your buddies.

Some of the handy benefits of new Facebook Android App in your daily life are as follows:

Grab your buddies on their smartphones

Make your messaging fast anytime

Make plans with groups on the go
